Test your concentration and coordination with electrokit's wire game! A simple and fun kit with transistors and sound.
The kit itself is straightforward to assemble, with standard through-hole components and a copper wire that is bent into a shape of your choice and soldered together to form the game track. A piece of wire and the remaining copper wire are soldered together to form the loop that the player holds.
The circuit is built around a few basic functional blocks using transistors. The three main functions are: a square wave oscillator or astable multivibrator using two transistors, a latch circuit or bistable multivibrator that activates when the loop touches the track, and a power stage that drives the small buzzer.
The objective of the game is to guide the loop through the obstacle course from start to finish. If the loop touches the track, the latch circuit locks and the buzzer sounds. The game is reset using the push button and a new game can be started.

Assembly guide
Before starting assembly, check that the circuit board is free from damage and scratches. Verify that you have all the components to be installed by comparing with the component list.
It is usually easiest to start with the lowest components and work upwards in size. Resistors, ceramic capacitors and diodes are mounted first. Then transistors, electrolytic capacitors, push button and speaker.
The bare copper wire is divided into two parts, a longer part for the game track and a shorter part for the loop that is to be guided through the track. Shape the longer part into a track that fits between the holes on the circuit board and the shorter part into a loop.
Strip and solder one end of the connecting wire to the loop and the other end to the circuit board.
Note! Do not forget to thread the loop onto the track before it is soldered in place.
Take care to place all components in the correct position and for the diode, transistors, electrolytic capacitors and speaker, ensure they are oriented in the correct direction.
