EK036 Connection and prototyping shield for Arduino

Connection board with terminal blocks for Arduino UNO R3/R4 and compatible models. The board breaks out all GPIOs to terminal blocks for easy wiring. The traces between the terminal blocks and the UNO can be cut on the underside of the board if a direct connection is not desired.

In the center of the board there is space for custom connections with a number of unconnected solder pads, 2.54mm pitch.

The board also has space for two tactile push buttons, one LED and a surface mounted IC in SOIC format (up to 16-pin).

The board is supplied with terminal blocks and stackable female headers.

On the top side of the board there is space to mount two push buttons, one 3mm LED and a surface mounted device of the SOIC type, up to 16-pin.

The buttons, LED and IC are connected to nearby holes and can be wired further using leads.

The prototype area in the center of the board has a 2.54mm pitch and is compatible with most through-hole components and circuits.

The two longitudinal rows in the center are connected to the Arduino board's 5V and GND.

Along the outer edges all GPIOs are easily accessible.

The connections between the terminal blocks and the GPIOs from the Arduino board can be broken by cutting the traces marked in blue.

Once the connection is cut, the terminal block no longer has any contact with the Arduino board and can be used for other purposes. This is useful if, for example, a voltage divider or some other circuit is to be added between a terminal block and a GPIO.

Four additional terminal blocks, marked X1 - X4, are available and connect only to solder points at the prototype area.

The connection marked NC is a reserved input for Arduino and should not be used.
